Moody Dunbar, Inc., and its wholly owned subsidiaries support the right of all individuals to be free from slavery in the workplace and complies with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010.  This California law addresses issues of slavery and human trafficking, which are crimes under state, federal, and international laws.

Moody Dunbar, Inc. is committed to ethical and fair labor practices free of slavery or human trafficking. Moody Dunbar, Inc. expects its management, employees, vendors, and suppliers to be committed to integrity, excellence, inclusion, laws and regulations of the workplace, and business growth and continuity. Per the Company’s Code of Conduct, Moody Dunbar, Inc. is committed to follow applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to environmental, labor, safety, and employment laws and abstain from any form of slavery or human rights violations.  In support of this law, Moody Dunbar, Inc, requires that its major manufacturing suppliers comply with their obligations under the California law. We do this by through the following:

  1. Verification: Moody Dunbar, Inc. requires its suppliers to comply with human trafficking laws through self-certification, and if needed, reserves the right to verify through third party audits to obtain this verification.
  • Supplier Audits: Moody Dunbar, Inc. reserves the right to conduct audits to evaluate supplier compliance with company standards for trafficking and slavery in the workplace and their supply chain.
  • Certification: Moody Dunbar, Inc. requires its suppliers and vendors to certify that their products comply with applicable law of the country in which they conduct business in. Moody Dunbar, Inc.’s products are also proudly grown and processed in the United States and supports American vendors which lessens the risk of human trafficking in the supply chain.
  • Internal Accountability: Moody Dunbar, Inc. enforces our standards to ensure it follow the proper laws, ordinances, and regulations including those regarding slavery and trafficking. The Company maintains written policies and procedures for employees to understand what is expected of them. There is a formal complaint process for any suspected violation of federal, state, and laws or Company policy.
